Description:Under minimal direction from Manager, the Business Development Partner (BDP) will be responsible for margin development of Eye Care Professional (ECP) customers by driving profitable mix, promoting the Zeiss brand, leveraging internal programs to drive ECP success, in office training, DT&I (Dispensing Tools & Instruments) support, assist in new ECP acquisition, and current customer preservation. The BDP will balance the multi-faceted activities across all pillars (lenses, coatings, labs and equipment) to see the big picture and think strategically to bring the best result for the company.

• Wholesale – PA area
• Independent Channel – NC (Raleigh) area
Duties:• Meet or exceed ASP, margin and mix goals for labs, lenses, coatings and equipment
• Increase sales and margin by effectively communicating the advantages and benefits of Carl Zeiss Vision products and services to the ECPs
• Support national marketing and collateral efforts
• Plan, develop, and conduct on-site and group training seminars to increase demand for Carl Zeiss Vision labs, lenses, and equipment
• Schedule and conduct product education workshops that are results driven
• Establishes a positive working relationship with Carl Zeiss Vision employees and colleagues
• Maximize and execute customer marketing programs to accomplish goals and objectives
• Develop and prepare summary reports as necessary
• Work directly with and respond to requests from BDR’s in specific territories
• Manage key ECP relationships
• Be able to train on and basic installations of DT&I products
• Efficiently manages travel cost
• May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:• BS or BA in Business, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations or related field, or 3+ years sales experience in optical industry preferred
• ABO certification and/or ABO speaker certification preferred
• Basic understanding of finance, margins, and return on investment
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication required
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills required
• Excellent computer skills required
• Experience with salesforce.com or other CRM preferred
