Accounts Receivable Specialist II

Description:Performs a variety of accounting tasks to support Carl Zeiss Vision’s Finance Department. Oversees many manual processes. Prepares and distributes various monthly reports.
Duties:• Apply cash receipts daily to accounts, prepare daily bank deposit, and process charge-backs
• Generate debit memos and credit memos
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming checks, process each payment against trade receivables and/or miscellaneous accounts
• Work with banks on cash deposits and lock box uploads
• Timely review, reconciliation and processing of on-account payments
• Prepare and maintain various cash reports to meet deadlines for statement and fiscal month end close
• Assist Customer Service and Credit Services Representatives in handling customer accounting, reconciliation, and unauthorized deductions
• Analyze and document procedural manuals
• Perform additional tasks, as directed
Qualifications:• AA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is preferred, plus 1-2 years bookkeeping/accounts receivable experience in a computerized work environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent customer service skills, effective written and oral communication
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Intermediate level Excel skills are required
• Experience with MS Office is required
• Experience with SAP is preferred

JOB CONDITIONS/COMPLEXITY:
Usual office environment. Requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Accounts Receivable Specialist II works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required.

EQUIPMENT USED:
Usual office equipment including: PC and related software, telephones, copy machines, fax machines, 10-key.
